I've heard a few things about him. Do you guys think he'll become another nomar(just got married, free agent at end of season ect.) and get traded? Or do you think he'll re-signn with the sox? I persona would want him to stay. If he leaves, I think payton or that spect (i forget his name right now will get the job.

I heard we were gonna let him go because he's gonna want like 10 million bucks. We would replace him with Hanley Ramirez and then Damon might go play for the Yanks.

I highly doubt he would ask that much the market aint as high as it was when we signed him for wayyyy too much.

if he has another 2004 year this year then i would give him the 10 million for next year. I honestly think if he did not have the year he had last year we would not of made the playoffs. he was an MVP candidate to me,

Here he's just "one of the guys".

In just about any other town he'd be recognized as the superstar that he has always been.

I heard that his agent was asking for 12.5mil and the Sox do not want to pay him more than 10mil (if not less).

He is very good player, but I personally would only give him 8.5mil.

If he wants to be a looser like Nomar, let him go!

He'll command a really, really big contract for what he does. Sure he's good, but is he really worth 10 million plus? Think about it, as much as we love him and his hair, we have to also think about the greater good of the team. He won't become another Nomar, I think he's too down to Earth to do that, but he may be traded nonetheless.

there is no possible way he'll become a nomar. I think in the end they will pay him a lot but not too much, and he'll go for a lengthy contract at a reasonable figure to stay here.

He is a a great leadoff hitter and if he puts numbers up like he has been and stays healthy I'll think they might be willing to stay with him for a few more years.

His defensive skills need help and his arm is nonexistsnet. But like Millar there are certain guys they seem to stick with for reasons beyond the field.

I hope johnny is one of them, becasue he is really good player and appears to be a very cool guy.

Maybe he could be joe's friend.

let me introduce you to jason varitek...much as I love him and cant sya I care one way or another he is being overpaid, and I'd also likt to introduce you to BK Kim, anything over a bag of peanuts is paying him more than he is worth.

theo will not offer damon more than 7.5 mill imo, unless he puts up numbers better than 04. he's getting older and slower by the day. if he's asking 12.5 mill he's dreaming, he won't get that, not even from the yankees. i really don't see him playing for the yanks but if boston offers him 7.5 and the yankees offer him 10 he'll leave and sign with the yankees.
