Heh, some artible from the REd Sox site. It predicts the Red Sox will win the East, and the yankees or Orioles may be the wild card

2) After New York wins the World Series, Kevin Brown, one of 11 Yankees 36 or older, reveals that, for good luck before each postseason game, the guys passed around shots of Geritol.

lmao

I think that who wrote that was being a little more hopeful than thoughtful. I hate the Yankees, but I sure wouldn't put money against them in the regular season when it comes to winning the AL East.

And if I did think they would finish in second it wouldn't be close between the Yanks and O's. I've seen and heard all about the moves the Orioles have made, but they won't win the wild card.... just yet.

Last year against the O's the Sox went 9-10 and NY went 14-5 and the Sox lost the division by 3 games. It seems that whoever can beat up Baltimore has a good chance of winning the division.

I don't see the sox winning the division, partly because I'm a pessimist. I think we've surpassed the yankees in terms of talent (we did that last year when we beat them senseless), but they're still the yankees, and I still see the sox as a wild card team.

The orioles improved with the addition of Sosa, despite what some people may tell you. Even though the sox have an upgraded pitching staff (for the most part), I still think the orioles could annoy us. On the other hand, Toronto is now easier than ever, so I dont really know what I'm saying.

I think the Sox have to be seen as the favorites for the division, they just came off winning the World Series. I think the Sox are going to win the East.

Yeah, but that means nothing this year.

Right... i have never heard a yankee fan say soemthing like that until this year.

well, you would have to say the Yankees are the favorites, considering they made pitching upgrades with the likes of Randy Johnson, and added bullpen depth.

If the rumors of Rocket are true and should Houston trade him to the Yankees, I think then we will know who will win the division.

Roger will get lit up in the AL East. That's the only reason he's a Cy Young candidate. HE WENT TO THE NL!

he's still a great pitcher no matter how you look at it. I would take him over Schilling, yes.

He's not on the yankees anymore, you don't have to fawn at his very name.

Then you be an idiot. We're way past that actually.

Ok, only reason for that is because Schilling is coming off surgery, that's all...

So is Sheffield. OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG OMG!!! give me Chone Figgins over him!!!!oneoneeleven!!111

Sheffield is ready for ST, Schilling might miss the first few weeks of the season.

You'd take Clemens over Schill? What are you smoking?

No way :o

I would take Randy Johnson over Schilling, though.
