("You guys" being sports fans in Boston) First he makes it clear clear that he's supporting Bush, NOW someone tell me that I didn't see him on television with a Pittsburgh Steelers jersey on.

He's a Steelers fan. Big deal. He's a Red Sox, not a Bostonian.
Exactly. He would have come off as a tool if he switched favorite teams just because he was employed by the Sox. Good for him for being a true fan. (and for voting bushy!).

Yeah, but who did Brady vote for....

Not that it matters or anything.

I was wondering, so I did a search, and found this:

Tom Brady, the 26-year-old New England Patriots quarterback, didn't disclose if he's a Republican, Democrat or independent, but he was unequivocal in his support of President Bush's appeal to rid pro sports of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs.

The world may never know.

as much as I hate george bush, and while today is inauguartion day and the vomit on my keyboard still hasnt dried as I hear the some old lies and BS...I have to say in my book as someone here so eloquently said being a redsox doesnt mean that you're a bostonian.

Brady, schilling they can do whatever the hell they wont and nobody should take it personally, once they put on that uniform they are my guys.

Schilling certainly aint einstien, but if sadaam hussien was pitching for us I'd root for him.

Now if george bush was a redox, I'd pray for rain.

I wanted to adds a thought about schilling as I just got through reading a long interview with him by jayson stark at espn.

Of course, I dont agree with his politics, I mean who in their right mind could like and vote for george bush.

However, I think schilling is refreshing in his accessibility, in his honesty and in his ability to articulate real answers to questions, The guy definitely answers the question without using the typical cliches, I came to play, etc..

I think he's cool for that and while I dont agree with everything that comes out of his yapper, he's ultimately fot my respect for being human about it and not a scripted clone like of some of these guys.

wait, yezir said that tom brady is a yankees fan, but i see him frequently wearing a red sox hat

It's because he is afraid of the fans' reaction. He's admitted to being a yankees fan.

On PTI they said that, yeah he had the steelers jersey but ALSO the week before he was wearing a Colts jersey for some promotional thing. They were saying how it seems like he just roots for whoevers playing AGAINST the pats.

Good point haha. He can walk around naked and everyone will still love him.

you might swing the other way but it doesn't mean we all do :harhar:

Exactly. I don't expect him to automatically be a Pats fan just because he plays for the Red Sox. I have seen him with Pats jerseys on. People can also support 2 teams.
