Yeah, what's so bad about Gilette?

Actually now that I think about it, when it comes to the playoffs, if the weather conditions suck, it is pretty difficult for opposing teams to play there. (See: 2004 AFC Championship Game)

I agree that there's nothing tough except the weather, but no other team has won there since 2002.

Right, but the team that plays there makes it pretty damn difficult. Not to mention the crowd can make someone go deaf.

The thing is since the Pats are so good all season, they get to play at home in the playoffs. The warm weather teams that made it now have to come into Gillette in cold weather. The crowd isnt that loud most of the game. Ive been to games myself and I can safely say that Ive heard louder at Bruins and Red Sox games.

Im adding MIchigan State to this for college Basketball. That place is crazy. A few weeks ago, they were facing Purdue, and they were like screaming and jumping up and down and s*** the whole game. Then when the shot clock is winding down they like... say a few numbers ahead of what it actually is. So like, if it was at 07, they would be saying 5, at 06 they woudl say 4, etc, then when they got to zero, they all did the shot clock sound. It was pretty distraction, tough to watch the game and concentrate on it, let alone play in it.

One of the toughest places to play college football definitely has to be Kyle Field home of the Fightin' Texas Aggies. Holds 82,000 and is arguably the loudest stadium on any given Saturday.
