BOSTON - The Red Sox have claimed right-handed pitcher Tim Bausher off waivers from the Colorado Rockies.

Bausher has pitched 58 games in three professional seasons with the Mariners, Brewers and Rockies organizations. He's 6-and-19 with a four-point-27 ERA for those organizations' minor league teams.

Bausher has struck out 203 in 177 career minor league innings.

Here are the only stats I could find on him. Seems like a mid 3 ERA starter in the Minors (he got tattooed in (A-) whatever that is). One thing that did stand out... He's never given up a HR????

A- is A league short season. The Everett AquaSox are the Mariners A- team, and he did get tattooed there. 8.88 ERA!!! Not giving up a HR is pretty good in 3 years.

Speaking of the Mariners it looks like Pavano might be signing with them!

eh, i'm kinding kicking myself in the nuts here. but bellhorn was good at times in the season. i hate how he struck out so damn much. but he did get "hot" when it counted. either way for someone who was claimed off waivers he turned out pretty good. a high amount of walks, high amount of doubles, had good power and played par 2nd base. the downside was the record setting k's. but hey, for waivers, not too bad.

p.s.- was millar claimed off waivers? for some reason i think he was..

Yeah, I think Millar had to pass through to get to Japan and Theo swooped in.

I'm only half kidding about Bellhorn. If you were here at the beginning of 04, he was enemy #1 in my posts. He started to grow on me after about 147 games. I'm all for keeping him around now, so long as it's in the 8 or 9 hole.

And please stop kicking yourself in the nuts. That's what girlfriends are for.

Arroyo was a legitamate player

This guy isn't, believe me.

no doubt about it, i'm not saying he's going to evolve into something. he'll most likely not do anything for us. i'm just saying that you can get a legit player off waivers. hell manny was put on waivers :-D
