Is there anyone in the Bigs that acts more "pathetic" than that guy?

Pumping the fist on easy base running assignments.

First one out of the dugout on a homerun.

Jumping for line drives that are 2 feet off the ground.

Asking for time at the plate when he's already been in the box for over a minute.

Trys to get the pitching staff pumped up from the dugout, even though he's hiding in embarassment.

Looks for television cameras in the dugout, to show his emotions.

Hugs Gay-Rod when he crosses the plate.

please add to my list!

I'm sorry, but I've got to disagree with you on this one.

Derek Jeter is one of those guys you've GOT to respect. Sure, he plays for the wrong team, but he plays the game hard, and he plays the game right. He's not the most talented player on his team, or at his position, but he's got a fierce competitive spirit.

I've said before that if Jeter was drafted by the Brewers (or pick any team that doesn't get national publicity and insert them here), nobody would have ever heard of him, and I do believe that. There are players who play their tails off for these small market teams that never get the credit they deserve.

Jeter gets too much credit. He gets WAY to much media coverage.

I hate Derek Jeter because he's a Yankee. That's how my mind works. But I have a ton of respect for him.

I respect a Cabrerra who just wants to play the game with skill and opportunity, rather than a guy who sucks all the attention out of the media for selfish rewards.

Respect doesn't come with Championships. I hope he learns that.

Go Sox!

You guys have to be out of your freaking minds. Jeter a punk ass, whatever. If anyone is a punk ass its Pedro, or Manny, or Schill, those guys can't keep there mouths shut. I have to admit Manny has gotten better.

Jeter seemed to me like the only guy in pinstripes who cared last night. Sure, he may posture himself for the cameras, but he is their leader and he does back it up on the field. I happen to think he is their most talented player. Having stated that, it was good to see him lose last night.

hahaha!! I like it! Pay-Rod got what was comin folks...a big paycheck to pay for that vacation in the Keys. He can sit back and take as many Karate lessons as needed, learn how to run to first ans stay in the baseline, as well as Improvisation course to look more believable, rather than call time out on second base and look stupid as hell.
