And to think that we thought we were better then our team last year. It felt like all the stars had lined up, we had Schill and Pedro 1 and 2, we had Arroyo who was pitching well, this was the series we couldn't lose, and we may not make it to the 5th game. I guess that is what being a Red Sox fan is all about.

Life isn't always fair, but to tell you the truth making the ALCS two years in a row as a wildcard is an accomplishment all its own. We had to deal with issues all season, and we had to deal with them again this series. It just didn't work out ya know.

 

Anyway, we have the Patriots going for 20 in a row tomorrow, and then tomorrow night we can enjoy one last game, and who knows, Derek Lowe will probably be making his last start in a Red Sox uniform, maybe he'll make it special. If we could just get one more on Monday it would mean a lot. It would mean a whole lot to Red Sox Nation.

There is no consolation in this. There's no pride in making the ACLS and getting your ass handed to you.

There's no satisfaction when there is a long list of disappointment that spans decades.
