Pitcher's stats are regular season.

I don't feel like talking about game 2 anymore, so here is game 3.

Good call. This is a close pitching matchup...but Arroyo's sick. He's got the goods to take this one. Let me rephrase: PLEASE GOD LET THEM WIN. THEY NEED TO WIN. AHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Sox pitching has given up 9 BB in the first two games. That has to stop. Arroyo is just the guy to be agressive on the mound and get ahead in counts. In all his pressure starts he has shown poise and no fear.

Damon and Bellhorn need to get on base for Manny and Ortiz and they can't wait until the 6th inning to do it. The Sox need to break into the MFY bullpen early and use up Torre's arms.

Praying doesn't hurt either.

Hey all,

I'm back from vacation, and what can I say? The first 2 games sucked, Schilling may not pitch again, and there's a lot of things working against the Red Sox tonight. Here's the bright side of things:

1. We're coming back to Fenway. This team plays MUCH MUCH better at home, and needs to do so tonight.

2. Bronson has pitched well against the Yankees, and he's pitched well in the playoffs.

3. Bronson's good at controlling the running game (one thing that hurt us in game 2)

4. This team has bounced back from losses before, why can't they do it again?

5. This team beat up on Kevin Brown in his last outing.

6. Mariano Rivera has gotten the job done, but he hasn't dominated. Tom Gordon has looked VERY hittable in the playoffs. All we need is a few lucky bounces, and we're in business. Joe Torre has shown that he doesn't have a lot of confidence in the Yankee bullpen (other than Rivera).

Boston has got to get Kevin Brown out early. Work the counts, get some hits, do whatever it takes! The Yankee bullpen is vulnerable!

Things look bad, and I have to admit I was too pissed off to even post here yesterday. But keep this in mind:

Giving up when things look bad is what Yankee fans do.

I still believe we have a better team (even though we haven't played like it)

I end this post with one of the most famous quotes from a very popular baseball icon, and one that Red Sox fans know all too well.:

"It's not over till it's over." Yogi Berra

game moved to monday @ 5:10 (unless the cards sweep then game moves to 8:20 pm)

good for the sox...pedro may get to pitch game 5, and schills MIGHT be ready to go for game 6. FOX said he is making progress and looks a lot better. .... but if it was mccarver, who knows how accurate that is (brandon arroyo vs pedro)

Yea if it gets that far. I don't expect it, but what will fenway do if there's a sweep and the people who have game 3 tickets and there is no game?

They would get refunds on their tickets if any game was not played.

I am so sick and tired of how Red Sox pitchers pitch to Matsui.

HE IS LOW BALL HITTER!

GET THE BALL UP!

You would think after a few years of this, someone on Yawkey Way would notice.
