I would rather play the MFY b/c i want to beat their asses on the way to the WORLD SERIES, but i do want the series to go to 5 games!

 

If it does go to 5 games (and the yankees win) who would pitch game 1....lieber?

The MFY...obviously. Although, we match up well against both teams especially if that series goes to 5. I feel i need redemption though, revenge will have never tasted so sweet.

It also won't be as easy to beat the Yanks as we think. Johan will be TIRED by the ALCS. He's "struggled" and I only use that word in comparison to how he usually pitches.

I could understand if the question asked "Who would you most rather beat in the ALCS", but honestly, if I were a Red Sox fan, the last team I'd want to see are the F'n Yankees.

id like to face the yankees, so we can beat them. i also didnt care who we faced, whether it be the twins or yanks, but i just have so much confidence in this team and how they are playing as of late, i just dont see this team gettin knocked out of the playoffs.

I don't think any team, AL or NL, is close the how good the Redsox are right now. Great starters, hitting, fielding, and Bullpen. It's gonna take a good team playing there best baseball to beat us.

In regards to pitching i can understand that...sort of. But overall i can't say that the Yankees are the worst team left. The worst team IMO is in the NL. Pick one of them and they are it. They are both good teams, obviously, but in comparison to the two AL teams i dont think they really stack up. I'm picking Houston to win the NLDS because if there is a team out there that can take care of the Cards in the 'Stros. Plus i dont like the idea of making it to the WS because we beat the worst team left in the LCS. But we will have made it there regardless...soo...whatever, bring the MFY ON!

I think you are right on this one. I did vote Twins before the start of the ALCS (First one to vote for them). I think going down 0-2 proves my point for now.

Once the playoffs started it became a whole new season, otherwise known as differentiating the boys from the Men. It's time for sox fans like you and not the true Sox fans that understand the game to put up or shut up. Right now the Yankees own the Sox, and until you knock us out of the playoffs we still own the Sox.

Last week my boss (a Sox fan) told me he wanted the MFY because he wanted soooo badly to beat them. He knew it wouldn't be easy, but he wanted revenge.

 

I think all Sox fans (in their hearts) wanted the MFY to win so they could beat them. I think most Sox fans who don't think with their hearts wanted the Twins to win because they simply aren't as strong a team.

 

I was one of those people. I wasn't on a computer to post that I was secretly cheering for Minnesota, but I was. I'm not proud enough to belittle an AL pennant because it didn't go through the Bronx. I'm a Red Sox fan for crying out loud, I'll take what I can get!

I think this says it right here. You guys would rather beat the Yankees than have an easier path to the World Series.
