Ok, so if today's game vs the Yanks is postponed and not made up in a doubleheader on Sunday, should the Sox shuffle the rotation for next weekend's series at Fenway?

Lowe is scheduled to start today and Wake next Saturday vs NY. Considering Wake's latest performances, should the Sox pitch Pedro tomorrow, replace Wake on Monday with Lowe, and set up a rotation of Pedro, Lowe and Schilling for next weekend?

I think so. Essencially Wake misses a start and sets up the postseason rotation (I love Arroyo, but I think Lowe should be #3 in the first round of the postseason) as Pedro, Lowe, Schill, Arroyo.

Thoughts?

Lowe is not coming back next season. He has been too inconsistent in his starts and the Red Sox management has already made it clear to him that they are going to proceed without him next season.

As far as the post season rotation goes, I think Wake has solidified his place in the bullpen. Game 1 starter has to be Schilling with Pedro number 2. After that I like Arroyo over Lowe. The corn rowed kid has flashed some very nice breaking stuff in good locations and he has proven himself in some pressure situations (Friday). Plus I don't like the "all defense-no offense" infield Francona puts in for Lowe unless we up 2-0 in a series. Still I think Francona will make Lowe the number 3.

yeah but who would u guys go after maybe matt morris??

Not Morris, he sucks, he lets up too much HR's. I think the Red Sox should sign some starters to 1 year deals, then turn it over to Papelbon, and Alvarez, with Sanchez, Lester, and Declarmen on the way up.

Lowe ain't worth that at all, plus that ain't cheap either. THe Red Sox aren't the Yankees, and were lucky if our payroll doesn't decrease after this year. Your young so you get an excuse for ignorance. The Red Sox will rely on homegrown talent for a while.
