why does race always have to be brought into it? he's korean, that makes him a rice ball head? typical ignorant statement.

sizzlin, red sox 24- they activated him because he IS good and MAY help the sox in the postseason. i highly doubt it but the chance is there. it's obvious that they would rather someone like kim as the 40th man (or whenever they picked him) over someone who has never seen 1 game in the majors.

well i would rather a f***in little leaguer pitch, they would beat him in height. But he sucks, he cant help the team win, and he isnt going to help at all, at best he is a person we put in during a blowout, at BEST. I dont know what you watched this year when kim was here, but it wasnt the kind of pitching i want to see coming in to releive anyone, bcause quite frankly hes not Releiving anyone, hes making us more scared. I agree with Crespo and get an apple for the "rice ball head" because he isnt helping s***

I don't think they should activate Kim this season. Keep working with him, let him rehab a little more... it's obvious something's out of place considering the excessive decrease in velocity on his fastball. But I agree with ahhchon and yeszir - Kim will be good in years to come. Give it some time...meaning not this year. Too risky, especially with his back.

To pitch him would be a blind move, simple as that. Francona whould of had to not watch him at all to put him in a game that REALLY matters

its such an embarassment for him to be in todays game. its a sign of giving up and not gaining any momentum going into the yankee series..not that he coudl tell, but we easily could have won this game tonight...putting in kim is like giving up at this point.

He threw mid 80's and couldn't get lefties out. Without his two runs in the 9th we'd still be playing now. Nothing has changed.

Kim>Anastacio Martinez, the OTHER player they had warming up in the pen. He is a starter, no two ways about it. I say, if Blowe continues to suck, give Kim a shot at the rotation at the beginning of next year.

I say give give Kim a ticket to Bagdad with a bullseye on his little head!

he sucks==he must have picture of theo epstien with a goat, because there is no other godly reason he's playing in any league higher than Lowell.

And by the way, I dont care if he is a rice ball yellow f***, I would nt care if he was a f***ing martian if he could pitch. Which he can't

Wow.

So, the 2 runs Kim gives up possibly dooms our hopes of winning the East. I don't have TV. Anyone care to fill me in on how he looked last night? Did he get hit hard?

Why did Terry pitch him with only a 2-run deficit?!? The Sox had been coming back all night, 2 runs was nothing (as they proved)... 4 in one inning is a hell of a lot harder.

Nasty.

Well, maybe (just maybe) Terry was trying to save Timlin, Foulke, etc for the Yankees? Although at 4.5 back it's hard to imagine a comeback.

Timlin was warming up last night. I don't think Francona had a clue what to do last night. If he was saving guys for tonight, that's a mistake. How can you give a game away? Win the game you're playing. Tossing Kim out there was giving up.

Don't kid yourselves guys. Kim got the first two batters out. The entire stadium was cheering for him at that point, and the guy sitting in front of me, who had been shouting obscenities while kim was in the bullpen, said "nevermind".

You were doing it too at home, so quit your bitching.

I was not "cheering" at home. So he got two guys out. He was still throwing in the mid 80's and his location was erractic. He had no business being in that game last night and he shouldn't be in a game until the Sox clinch a berth.
