You know that a thread is old when Empire was the last one to post in it. Hint to newbies: check the date before you post in a thread.

I only worry about how everyone will get along with thier new coordinators, outside of that the unslefish play of the Pats makes me believe we should be fine at every position.

I actually enjoyed going back through this thread and reading Empire's posts. Especially the one where it says "the pats will not win the superbowl" I remember he was willing to sell his left nut on eBay if the Pats won the SB or something like that.

I think that had something to do with if the Redskins finished above .500 or something. I still talk to Empire though, he said he forgot his password which is why he hasn't come back.

Just wondering: What do you guys think of wide receiver, Bethel Johnson? He went to college down here in Texas and I loved watching him at Texas A&M, and I saw him return that kickoff for a TD against the Browns last year, but I just wanted to see what all of your opinions were of the guy.

Great physical ability but needs to get his head into the game. Re learning plays, effort in practice, and listening to coaching staff. Has been placed on inactive list on several occasions in the past for violations of these. I hope this year will be the year he " get's it ".

Yeah, he could be a pretty good player. But he doesnt have great hands, and his attitudes during practice and such are pretty much his downfall. By this year, his third year, I will expect him to see a much bigger role in the offense along with Branch, Givens, and Terrell. But the thing is, all of the WRs are going to need to fight for their time. With Branch, Givens, Terrell, Johnson, Brown, Dwight, etc, every second on the field is going to need to be earned.

Must be nice to have too many WRs to chose from. We have 1 legit NFL WR on the team this year, and another guy who could possibly be the next Steve Smith type guy. Other than that though our recieving core is pathetic. Every day this off season I've felt less and less confident about this Steelers season.

I'm really getting worried that we're not gonna get Hines Ward signed in time for camp. I think if we don't get a deal done by then he's gonna walk after the year ... which would leave us with 0 recievers.

Good thing we run the ball 65% of the time.

I forgot to add in the fact that we have 2 legitimate recieving TEs in Graham and Fauria, and 2 pretty good recievers out of the backfield in Faulk and Pass.

He's fast as hell, one of the best, if not THE best, kick returners in the league.

For some reason, Texas A&M produces some really good special teams players. Dante Hall of the Kansas City Chiefs really lit it up this last year, I remember him as a running back at A&M, but he's been really successful as a wide receiver and kick/punt returner as well.

But since this is a Patriots thread, I guess I have to contribute something so here's a training camp picture of Tedy Bruschi:

Don't forget Ben Watson.

now theres talk that roman phifer could be resigned, signs point to calls belichick has had with him and also he still has his name on a locker in the patroit's locker room. also with less teams biting to get at Ty Law, he could also be having negotiations with new england on a price to come back. with bruschi gone, for right reason of course, id welcome roman and law back.

Wow, what a really tough schedule. I didnt think it was this tough when I first heard about it, but we will need to play some amazing football the whole season to just make the playoffs.

Buy hey remember, these teams aren't always the same each year. Some just start out poorly ( Carolina last year ), lose players to injury or free agency. There always seems to be some new hot teams, some underachivers, and the "power houses" . Thank God we have one of the latter.
