I really don't see how they can just give the yankees two games that have playoff implications on account of a hurricane that no team has control of. It's not like the Devil Rays would simply blow off one of the games. I will certainly be pissed off if one or both of the games are forfeited.

the d-rays will get there b/c tampa intl. opened at 9 this morning getting there at 11:30 and to Yankee stadium at 12:30 the game would be a forfeit if they didnt get there b/c Bud Selig told the d-rays to get out on fri. but they didnt so thats why the forfeit would happen

Selig has apparently denied the MFY request to have the Devil Rays forfeit the first game of the doubleheader Monday. How low can George sink? Refusing to acknowledge the Devil Rays players' desire to remain with their families until Frances passed by, is simply despicable. This only shows how desperate George has become to steal any win in September. Maybe if the Devil Rays plane crashed while taking off in the storm the MFY would have asked for Tampa to forfeit both games. That IS pretty low, man. Anyway, the MLB rule (according to ESPN) is that the game is considered a forfeit if they don't show up by 5 minutes after the umpire says "play" and the delay is unavoidable.
