Last game of the season with Toronto. It's the first of our AL East opponents that we will not see again this year. Hopefully, we can make it 14-5 against them with a win tonight. After that, we need to take at least 3 of 4 in the home series with the Tigers. Then after that, it's Anaheim for three and Texas for three at the Fens. Then we're off to Oakland and Seattle for three and four games respectively. This is a big stretch of games right here in our Wild Card chase. Let's reassess where we are after we return from Seattle to play Tampa at home before we look up at the Yankees.

right...while we are talking about next year already, we now realize that 2 weeks is too far away to even look at. after this stretch we need to focus on not the yankees and the standings, but just winning a game. like i said, everything will fall into place after our game, whether it be against the blue jays, the devil rays, the angels, the rangers, or the yankees. just win the game and then see what goes on after.

Well, there's no question the Sox are the favorite in this thing. Schilling vs Towers is a game this team has GOT to win.

Anaheim, Texas, Oakland...they're all hot right now. We've got to keep pace.

Randy Johnson almost went to the yanks. Apparently with 1 minute left someone else claimed him and then the D backs took him back.

Does this have anything to do with the discussion of today's game?

Also, do you have a source on that?

Texas and the Yankees both lost. We're now tied for 1st in the WC with Anaheim, 2 ahead of Texas, and we're 5 behind the yankees. And how about Ortiz!

And how about Ortiz!

Ortizzle came through huge last night, as did everyone else. Everyone hit. I cant say enough about Orlando though. He has been excellent the past few weeks. Nomar hasnt been playing lately, so this trade is looking more and more like an awesome deal, especially with Orlando playing the best he has this season. Hes got a 10 game hit streak and is hitting close to .400 in the last 2 weeks

The team is definately playing well right now, the only bad news is that Oakland, Anaheim, and to a lesser extent Texas are also playing well.

Orlando's been awesome of late, and we need him to be!

Has anyone heard an update on Mientkiewicz?
