To whoever it was that paid $70,000 for Ted's old uniform.......I hoped you tried it on before you bought it.

I read that it went for under what it was expected to fetch...between $85k-125k. Glad that UpperDeck won't be cutting it up and putting pieces of it on some stupid cards.

Indeed. I've always thought that that's a waste. Especially with the classic uniforms, like Williams, Dimaggio and Ruth. It's better in the hands of one collector than in the hands of two thousand collectors.

right and then of those 2000...about 1900 end up on ebay and drive the price of them all down anyway.

That uniform sat in a bureau in the guys attic for 40 some years; had I known that, I would have taken out my roll of bills and peeled off a couple of double sawbucks for that fine gent.
