Mark Prior's ridiculous return

6 IP, 2 Hits, 8 K's. And fresh off of the DL. The Cubs are very happy to welcome back their ace. He's gonna start like Clemens. (he got the ND today, but expect 10 straight wins starting with his next appearance)

Yagmaster is obsessed with Prior. In fantasy baseball leagues he snatches him up as soon as he can get his paws on him, its crazy. But he was certainly impressive, especially since that was his first start of the season.

I passed up on Prior (kicking myself now). But landed Pedro, Kevin Brown, Penny, Hudson, and Wood...so I can't complain.

 

Glad that Prior is back. Should be interesting to see the Cubbies battle the Astros, Cardinals, and Reds in the NL Central as they have hung close thus far without their ace. Should be a great second half.

Mark Prior is the new Greg Maddux, but with heat. Prior can throw any pitch in any count and be dominating with it. He's also the new Greg Maddux, because I think he'll cut bait out of Chicago once his contract is up for top-dollar somewhere.

Definately an impressive start, especially (sp) for the first one of the season coming off of an injury.

i dont think anyone expected him to pitch that well. i guess you could officially say he is the real deal. if this is a foreshadow of his season the NL better watch out

Hasn't he been the real deal for two years now? Before his injury we knew to expect great things.

Monday: Prior vs. Clemens

It's looking to either be a great matchup (if Prior pitches like his first start) or a total blowout(if he pitches like his second: 3 2/3, 5 ER, 5 BB, 1 K). You know Clemens will do okay, his last start against Chicago he went 7 IP and gave up a run. I'm hoping for the pitcher's duel.
