You're right that this is very good news. I don't know whether it'll be 1 or 2 weeks till Nomar is back but this is exceptional news. But I never thougt Nomar would return quicker than Trot? But anyways, it's good see hear that the lineup will be back to its true shape in a week or two.

what worries me is that nomar is said to be leaving the sox after this season and maybe becoming a angel!!?? thats on benmaller.com

Here's exactly what Maller said:

Some late-May predictions for the offseason: Nomar Garciaparra and Derek Lowe will leave the Red Sox, with Garciaparra going to either the Angels or Dodgers and Lowe signing with the Rangers. Nomar, as you know, is a Southern California native who still is extremely upset with the Red Sox for last winter's shenanigans, regardless of what agent Arn Tellem says. Rangers owner Tom Hicks will be willing to spend the money necessary to get sinkerballer Lowe.

Personally, I think Lowe is more likely to be headed for the Tigers, due to the fact that he's from Dearborn and that the Tigers have been throwing around big money for mediocre players.

Ouch. That's not a good sign. 0-3 in AAA with a strikeout? But Shoppach hit a 460 foot homerun!

The man hasn't played in a real live baseball game since March, so you really can't Nomar to go 4-4 with 2 homers, even against minor league pitching. The pitcher he was facing wasn't too shabby either in Brandon Claussen (former Yankee stud pitchin prospect traded for Aaron Boone). The main objective we should be focusing on is if Nomer is comfortable playing in live situations and not just playing in simulated games. If Nomar continues to stay comfortable out there I don't see why he can't be back by this time next week.

In any case, some beautiful pictures:

Nomar batting is the sexiest a man can ever look.

In a completely heterosexual way, right yeszir? :D

How cool would it be to live in Pawtucket, be a Bosox fan, buy tickets way in advance for this game, show up, and Nomar's playing. Pretty cool. It's funny seeing nomar in a different uniform. Yet...so sexy. Straightly.

It would be cool, except for the fact that you live in Pawtucket (no offense if you live there anyone). And yes, my Nomar comment was in a heterosexual way. :P
