Bonds hits his 659th HR after going 3-3in the SanFran win tonight. Bonds needs one more to pass Willah Mays on the all-time list. No punch line, just thought I'd share.

Good call. Would you like some steroids with that?

I dunno though. I mean with Bonds, the steroid usage isn't as apparent as it was with Giambi. I don't want to put any blame on Bonds until his tests come back positive. Giambi on the other hand...well just look at him. Him arms used to be the size of me, now they're reasonable.

But expect Bonds to pass Hank this year, if today was any indicator of things to come.

Hank Aaron 755

Babe Ruth 714

Willie Mays 660

Bary Bonds 659

Bonds will pass Aaron this year? okay Calvn, whatever you say, 100 homers here i come!

Oh man, I was just totally thinking that Hank had 714, my bad. I meant he'll pass Ruth.

That is going to upset A LOT of people when he does that.

6 of 1, half dozen of another...I'd rather have Pujols as well, but I got him 3rd pick so I'm not complaining.

......What exactly are you referring to with this?

I'm saying that Bonds and Pujols are very similar. Pujols is better overall, but not significantly.

Oh, I agree. On a team now I'd much rather have Pujols than Bonds, but I think most anyone would (except Barry himself of course).

The age factor, the potential factor, the steroid factor, the likeability factor, the actually get pitched to factor.

Bonds will most likely only get 300 at bats this season, he's going to be walked THAT many times.

He's got a point...Bonds had 148 BB last year (I think) and still hit 45 HR, in only 390 AB.

Pretty impressive if you ask me.

Finally, its about time. He went FOREVER (by his standards) without one. I bet he starts up the pace, now that the milestone is out of the way. (well, one more to go for it to be fully out of the way).

It's amazing how these feats can make people ignore stuff like BALCO - he was given a standing ovation (as well he should have) when he hit the bomb (450+ feet I think).

Now he'll go on IR for the rest of the year and end his career with 660.
