I like Arias on D, a lot, but I don't even trust MLB defensive awards, so I'm not sure he is the best infielder on the farm. He's good enough for me.

My thoughts on minor league defensive awards - the Red Sox Minor League Defensive Player of the Tear in 2016 was Rafael Devers.  Was he good then? Or the rest of the org just really, really bad.

Anyway, I hope Arias works out…

Always suspected some teams may give minor league awards to prospects they're considering as trade bait.

As for entire minor leagues naming award winners, clubs with players receiving hardware may reward ballot-punchers with 300 bonus points for first-time voting.
