At Portland, Koss hit two taters tonight giving him 8 for the season. Binelas hit his first Portland tater of the season. And Reed hit his 5th tater of the season. Most important, sale pitched 4 innings and gave up 1 run on four hits and no walks with seven strike outs.

At Worcester, grullon and granberg each hit their 1st taters for Worcester. Castellaneous hit his 2nd Worcester tater And finally, mieses hit his 7th tater of the season.

From what I understand, agents communicate that they (the agents) would prefer the player (who has been sucking early in the year) finishes as strong as possible in order to tease a contract or camp invite from one of other 29 teams!

Who is going to take his place? We got bumpkus in the high minors. (Ps: I would be happy to see granberg get a chance. Huge hit tool.) The real question is can we get a better all around free agent or traded player for less than the 4 million difference?

I think Bradley and his agent are both aware that this current contract will probably be Bradley’s last significant contract unless he starts hitting. That said Bradley has all the incentive in the world to get his average up.

We desperately need 2 quality right handed relief pitchers. Preferably a high end set up man and a high end closer.

True, but he is hitting better than I ever thought he was capable. Takes a bit of the sting away from him being back.

Last I looked, Cora did not sign any of the substandard arms in our bullpen.

Bradley may not be the bradley of old. But his defense is strong and he is hitting .200. At the beginning of the season, I never thought he would hit above .170.

I do not think German is ready. He command and control is spotty. When his fastball sails, he resorts to aiming and then he gets lit up like a Christmas tree!

As prospects, I think wong and cotham have really improved to the point of being viable major leaguers in the future. Not stars, but contributors.
