That might be the funniest thing I've read in quite some time. The sox got hosed, maybe even worse than the mookie deal. -
I read earlier today that the giants haven't had a 30HR guy since bonds and I'm pretty sure they won a few rings during that time.

Who said anything about big names? The fact is that he didn't really unload any players when he had the chance and did buy, whether they were big names or not. Especially 2022 when he traded vazquez and hung on to boegarts, martinez, and eovaldi amongst others.

If the sox are going to be sellers, does it really matter what roman or any other replacement does? I wouldn't think so. At that point it's all about maximizing return.
