  3. nice try........ https://www.wbur.org/news/2020/06/10/torii-hunter-said-he-was-called-the-n-word-a-hundred-times-at-fenway-the-red-sox-confirmed-its-true
  4. So how do you feel about the Sox fans that dumped their drink on Sheffield years back? Does that mean that all Sox fans deserved an ugly ending? Every fan base has their share of chumps.
  5. I get what you are saying because he does seem like a genuinely nice guy who tries very hard. But his performances in the postseason leave a lot to be desired.
  6. Soto, he's younger and healthier.
  7. Well, if I had to pick between giving a monster contract to either Mookie or Devers, it certainly would have been Mookie.
  8. Strikeouts are up pretty much across the board the last few years. I haven't looked it up but I would guess that many franchises have set their franchise record for strikeouts recently.
  9. Please name the teams that don't need a pitcher like this.
  10. Well, it's not like the FBI has been the most honest bunch, so.......
  11. Again, his fall guy approved it, the banks typically don't look any further unless a serious red flag pops up. There's just too many transactions happening on a daily basis for them to do a deep dive into each of them. They may have made an inquiry on the 1st transaction, but after getting a satisfactory answer from the fall guy they just consider it normal business. And while the money may seem huge to you or I, in the big picture of banking transactions they barely register a blip.
  12. My company moves around large sums of money all the time. There's never any investigations. Sometimes the bank may make an inquiry, but if ohtani's fall guy answered the inquiry, then the transactions will go through.
  13. My guess would be that the gambling operation had a front set up so as not to appear as an illegal gambling operation. It's not like they hang a sign outside the door saying "Illegal Gambling Available Here"
  14. Why would they need to be investigated or flagged?
  15. Probably because the bets were made on ohtani's behalf.
  16. Regardless, he spent over 100 games in the field, Yoshi played 1 game in the field.
  17. Umm, he played 111 games in the field, 69 at 1B and 42 at 2B
  18. But the same holes still exist in Masa's game. He doesn't play the field and he doesn't hit for enough power to be a DH. Now factor in the shoulder injury. He might not even be ready for the start of next season. And even if he is, how much does it sap his already limited power? The results from labrum surgery are not always the best.
  19. That's just dumb. It always cracks me up when fans say "We don't want this guy because he can't do this or that so we should just trade him" As if the other GM's are blind and can't see the same shortcomings that the player has as the fans see. SMH
