  1. Again, story has to more than double his WAR from here to the end of his contract to equal what ells produced during his tenure with the Yanks.
  2. Stop what?
  3. Red Sox Predicted to Part Ways With 2-Time Silver Slugger Who Continues to Disappoint
  4. I know it's only a 6 game sample size, but the cards look better than I expected.
  5. That's a huuuuge if........
  6. True, this season has only just begun. But the fact remains that he would have to more than double his WAR from here over the remainder of his contract to equal ell's over his contract with the Yanks.
  7. Well, then that's even less likely.
  8. Well, injuries certainly played a factor in ells production as well. Maybe not to the extent that story's have......
  9. Umm, it sure can. story has to more than double his WAR over the next 4 seasons to equal the WAR that ells produced during his Yankee contract.
  10. Well, ellsbury only played for 4 seasons of his contract. So my math is correct.
  11. Based on what?
  12. As per Baseball Reference, ellsbury was worth 9.6 WAR while with the Yanks and story 4.0 WAR with the sox. Both over 4 seasons. story would have to more than match his previous production to get to that number over the remainder of his contract.
  13. Yes, really.
  14. If it hadn't been for the bullet, JFK would have enjoyed a nice afternoon ride in a convertible. story has averaged 1 WAR per season with the sox (per Baseball Reference). Not sure that's going to get any better.
  15. story's contract has a chance to make ellsbury's contract with the Yankees look like a bargain.
  16. Maybe, maybe not.
  17. I'm quite familiar as I grew up in NYC and my brother now lives about a half hour north of Baltimore in Newark, DE. Weather can be crazy!
  18. I was at an early April game in Camden Yards maybe 15yrs ago. It was in the upper 40's, windy and non-stop drizzling. I was freezing my butt off since I have grown accustomed to the SoFlo weather having lived there for 25yrs now. First and only baseball game I ever attended where I didn't drink a beer as I opted for hot chocolate instead!
  19. Absolutely, very small sample size. I was merely responding to bellhorn. Jazz and mullins will both probably come back to near their career norms. Although Jazz may see a slight uptick from being in a much better lineup then he ever really had in miami.
  20. Doubtful that they get banned as they were already approved.
  21. That's great. The Yanks are still 3-1 and Jazz is hitting .313 with an OPS of 1.264 and 3 dingers!
  22. They probably wouldn't help devers much because you have to actually make contact for them to make a difference. in 1995, Tony Gwynn had 15 strikeouts in 585 at-bats, In 2025, devers has 15 strikeouts in 19 at-bats.
  23. Craig Breslow is playing with fire as Red Sox blow chance for Garrett Crochet extension
