  1. This is the 1st sox game that I am actually having a chance to sit and watch all year as I just got a new streaming service that gets all MLB games. The weather looks pretty good.
  2. So you would want a guy struggling to stay above the Mendoza line with a sub-.700 OPS batting clean-up? That doesn't sound like it would produce a lot of rbi's.
  3. So, do you think he gets dropped? On one hand, it may take some pressure off and let him find himself and get going. On the other hand, cora and company may be concerned about another blow to his ego after being moved off 3rd base. Or, this may be who he is now considering his numbers since last year's All Star break.
  4. Nonsense, if you think that they will/can win the AL, that would put them in the WS. Well, being in the WS is certainly on the verge of winning it all as you would be one of only 2 teams that could win it all.
  5. What were their strength of schedule vs that of the sox? The sox have only played 6 games vs teams that are presently over .500.
  6. LOL, winning the AL is on the verge of winning a championship. Smh..... And, again, the sox haven't done well against teams over .500 and have pretty much played .500 ball against a very weak schedule.
  7. No, I didn't say anything regarding a particular player. I simply questioned your assertation that this was a top tier team on the verge of a championship.
  8. I never said that anyone was written off.
  9. Well, I understand what you are saying. But, if a team doesn't do enough winning in April, they may be too far behind for their September wins to matter. Not saying this is the case with the sox right now.
  10. Bottom line, it's not meaningless. Games in April count just the same as games in September.
  11. If it weren't for the bullet, JFK would have enjoyed a nice afternoon ride in a convertible. Bottom line is that's what we have to go by until, or if, it changes.
  12. That's great. And I don't know anyone that considered either of them to be top tier teams or true championship contenders.
  13. I am considering their record. They have been basically a .500 team against an easy schedule and are well below .500 against the better teams they have faced.
  14. And their record despite a very easy early schedule?
  15. Again, they have benefitted from a very easy early schedule and are 2-6 vs teams over .500
  16. The only evidence I need to show is their record.
  17. New trend? I thought this was established with Andrew Miller years ago.
  18. so, twice you have continued to ignore this so I will post it again, You continue to claim this but I see very little evidence of it. They have basically played .500 ball against a very easy early schedule and have gone 2-6 vs. teams over .500.
  19. You continue to claim this but I see very little evidence of it. They have basically played .500 ball against a very easy early schedule and have gone 2-6 vs. teams over .500.
  20. The sox have benefitted from a very easy early schedule. They have only faced teams better than .500 in 8 of their first 21 games. They went 2-6 during those games.
