I thought the whole point with drafting Yorke 100 spots ahead of his ranking was so we could get Jordan and now we re willing to trade him??

Cora's loyalty to Kike could cost him his job. If the Sox miss the post season again I'd get rid of both Cora and Bloom

Jays have bigger needs than SP. They need a RH bat, then another BP arm and then maybe another SP. They do have Rhyu coming back very soon

He's a head case. Where I live we get loads of Jays coverage and trust me most people don't want Stroman back.

can someone explain to me why Kike was batting for Duran {2/4} with 2 out in the 9th today against a RH reliever?? I can only assume that Duran was hurt??

The guy is a head case that's why and he'd only be a rental and would cost too many of Bloom's prized prospects to acquire. Never said the guy couldn't pitch.

yeah but how many last place finishes did the Orioles have before reaching this level? It would take at least 3 more last place finishes for the Sox to match them.

I only bring up Sheehan because on an article titled "each team's top prospect likely to be dealt" and Sheehan was the name for the Dodgers. Just one person's opinion I know but if we could get him for Yorke I'd JUMP HOOPS for that. Heck they can even have Jordan too.

Send him to the LAD with whatever else it takes to get Sheehan from LA

whitlock needs to show he can stay healthy. Jury is out on Wink in vy view. Remember MDC? The Mookie trade may have been the best we could get but we certainly didn't win it either although I don't blame Bloom. I confess to being unfamiliar with Valdez and Abreu.

I will give you Sale but Beckett was a long time ago too. Why can't people see how Tampa and LA are doing it. Tampa hs thrived by drafting and developing their own top young cost controlled P and then after getting several years out of them they deal them for more young P. It has worked pretty well for them for quite a while now. As for the LAD how is it that they can have made the post season for 11 straight years and still have one of the very best farm systems in MLB?? Their GM Friedman was the real mastermind in Tampa IMO.

I am not obsessed with tearing it down but simply stating it is over-rated in my opinion.

yet being able to draft Jordan seemed to be the selling point for drafting Yorke about 100 spots above where he was ranked.

then why can't the Sox trade for any top SP. Curt Schilling was the last real top SP they were able to trade for. Teams don't trade those guys very often.

we have 4 last place finishes in the last 10 years so I am not sure how much of a winning strategy it has been.
