  1. they keep making the same freaking bet. and it loses every. single. time.
  2. Liam Hendricks?? Brez will certainly(?) decline the mutual option for next season and pay him the $2M buyout. so....this means that Henry will have paid Hendricks $8,000,000 dollars for all of 13.2 innings of work. brilliant strategy their Brez. LOLOLOLOL
  3. i know they belong in the OF for those very reasons. but we do have a glut of outfielders and no 1B. again, i know Casas is the 1B but i no longer count on him for anything. but hey...don't listen me, lets go with Toro again.
  4. i'd take Schwarbs if we don't get ALonso.
  5. i'd give him 7 if that's what it took to get him. signing him would also allow us to trade Casas.
  6. what about Duran or Abreu at 1B?
  7. if it's the Dodgers, then it's probably 25-30 years.
  8. i don't think Bregman gets anywhere near that either.
  9. nit pick all you want. i just saw it somewhere and was shocked they had anywhere near that much coming off their books. they must have their payroll extended out for the next 50 years.
  10. should have said "about" $100M. no doubt the bottom three are high on Breslow's radar.
  11. supposedly, the Dodgers have $100M coming off the books this winter. they'll sign Tucker. and anybody else they want. count on it.
  12. but....the Red Sox Payroll/Revenue is 23rd in the league at 42.1% The Colorado Rockies spend a higher percentage of their revenue on payroll than the tightwad POS you keep defending.
  13. my thoughts exactly! great minds and all that.
  14. give Cincy Grissom and all the garbage we got from the Devers trade. surely Devers and Sale are worth one injury-prone Hunter Greene.
  15. the Dodger$ did $pend a lot of ca$h to build thi$ team. and a$ you pointed out, they have the revenue to do $o. i found this Payroll/ Revenue chart on X. if you're looking for the RedSox, they're down near the bottom, despite the fact they have 4th highest revenue. i wonder what Henry does with the $332 million NOT spent on payroll??
  16. i certainly hope not. Gio did the internal brace rather than full TJS. i wouldn't doubt his year-end woes mean he's going to need full TJS this winter. his metrics were awful to boot. no way i'd re-sign him.
  17. i was saying the rehab pitchers never work out. Chapman was great. and i've said so many times. Bregman was great but he opted out and his signing basically caused us to lose Devers. so....maybe not such a great signing after all. Buehler was a the yearly John Henry Rehab Special and a horrible waste of money.
  18. they do it year after year after year after year. and it never works out. and i don't expect this winter to be any different. needless to say, i have very low expectations.
  19. Brez will probably sign some has been pitcher on rehab for a couple years and call it a day.
  20. $8M, whooptiefrickindo. how many times have i heard that's pocket change. Abreu was a GG last year. Duran was an AllStar last year. you forgot that. Duran is in decline? that's your opinion. Abreu can't even stay on the field. yeah, that's what we need, more freakin' players that can't suit up every day.
  21. they aren't untradeable. wrong. Duran is better.
