To old at this point. Big contribution in 67 though.

I didn’t worry to much about what happened to EO 3 starts ago against the Yankees, and that it would carry over to his last game. I don’t think he turned on a dime, and it was the bad start that was the abnormally, and just got back to pitching good like he usually does against the Yankees.

That’s what we need to start game 4.

The problem with the way today’s game is played you need the equivalent of 2 starters pitching every game, and the way the last two games with early exits by ERod, and Sale you’ve needed three. The game hasn’t changed for the better.

How about Jose Santiago?

Right now I’m only judging Sale on his last two games, and I’ve seen enough for him not to start again in this series.

Sunday night is huge, and as for Monday’s starter that glazed look in ERod’s eyes on Thur is a scary thought, and not much confidence that he will not to do that same thing again, but then again the options are very limited.

This is fun, but getting shutout last night only counted as 1 loss, and all these hits, and runs will only count as 1 win, and we’ll need 2 more.

What a difference 24 hrs make. Tampa’s pitching staff isn’t used to getting battered like this.

He hasn’t always hit 1 or 2, and all I was saying for all the people who either wanted JD to opt out, or get traded, and sign Schwaber is that Schwaber is not the run producer like JD, and not worth a JD contract.

That’s why I keep saying that Schwaber may hit as many HR as JD, but he’s not a run producer like JD.

True on the stats, but like I said what I saw Sun was all I needed to see. I like Sale, and I know he’s giving it all he’s got, and it’s probably killing him that his results the last two games were as bad as they was. Hopefully he can come back next year, and at least be a serviceable pitcher.

Houck is doing his job, and the big question is how much longer can he go.

Houck definitely has the stuff, but he has to be more consistent.

If Pivetta had been scheduled to start game 2 I suppose Richards would have gone longer than 1 batter last night. I know rest makes a difference for a starter, but except for rare occasions pitchers don’t throw as many pitchers anymore. I think Sale got the start more for his name than anything else.

Yes I was, and like I said short rest, or long rest would not make any difference right now. I saw all I needed to see on Sun, and that’s why I said I would have started Pivetta game 2.

I understand what you meant, but my point was that Sale would not start at all. Short rest, long rest, or any rest I don’t think would make a difference with Sale right now.

I didn’t say Pivetta would be that good, but just a better option than Sale. It’s not like they had all kinds of good options.

I said after the Yankee game that I would have started Pivetta in game 2, and everyone said no.
