  1. Good. I love it when a plan comes together.
  2. Call it anything you want it’s just an opinion on BOTH sides. To say it wasn’t proven POP PEE took any special vitamins is true, and would hold up in a court of law, but this is in the court of public opinion, and my opinion is different from yours, and it may never be proven who’s opinion is right, and until that happens my opinion will never change.
  3. The bottom line is you don’t know for sure either way.
  4. I don’t know for sure if POP PEE took any enhancements, and NONE of you know for sure that he didn’t, but my opinion is he did, and thats what I’m sticking too. You can name call all you want, and say all that you want just like you do against Shaugnessy, but it has zero effect. The beloved POP PEE is not above any criticism, or suspicion.
  5. You honestly think as these guys got older they got better with more power? They never said what POP PEE tested positive for, but he did test positive, and was on the list.
  6. How many of these guys were suspended? That doesn’t mean a thing? You honestly think all that Papi did was on the up, and up? Really? I’m with Shaughnessy on this one like it, or not. Papi was on the list that tested positive, which was good enough for me, and some of these guys never tested positive. Doesn’t mean a thing.
  7. Did he say why?
  8. Saying they want to keep Devers long term, but not ponying up $300M, or so to keep him to me is not a lie. You may feel different.so far they have stuck to what they said at the press conference in my opinion about following last years plan. You may have a different opinion, and that’s fine too. Like I said before they got their 2 yr man in JBJ.
  9. Do you know for sure they offered Baez any kind of contract, or are you going off rumors? If they did offer a contract for what, and how long?
  10. No. They could offer anyone a contract. The bigger question is was the contract legit. They offered Lester, and Mookie a contract too knowing that neither one would accept the offer. In other words it wasn’t a legit offer.
  11. Of course Bloom called Bogerts, and Devers cornerstone players, and said he wants to keep them long term, and the same about Mookie, and he probably did want to keep them. It would be bad PR if he didn’t, but that doesn’t mean the Red Sox would do so at any cost, and I think they pretty much knew that Mookie wasn’t going to stay anyway. Not quite the same as saying the Sox were pretty much going to follow the same plan as last year with short term contracts from lower rated FA. Moon keeps saying they spent $40M last year, but was that $40M more than the year before, or $40M just replacing what had left the team.
  12. Everyone has their own opinions of what will happen. My opinion is formed by what Kennedy, and Bloom said plus what they have done so far the last two years, and all the bargain basement shopping they have done, and what they haven’t done such as long term contracts.
  13. Go back, and watch the press conference, and then you can form your own opinion.
  14. I could care less if we sign Suzuki, or not, and he’ll probably go to the Yankees anyway. You said you can’t trust the top brass. Has Bloom, and Kennedy throw out any BS, or did what they said they would do?
  15. Maybe you should have done the year end press conference since you seem to know more than Kennedy, and Bloom. NOT. All wishful thinking on your part.
  16. I know I’m a broken record, but my opinions are based on what Kennedy, and Bloom said, and so far how they have done business for the last two years. I doubt they made any Serious offers to anyone this off season outside of the Whacka types, and must have had a weak moment when they took back JBJ, and his contract , so when you say you are not sure the Sox will sign someone long term this winter, but think they might what is that based on?
  17. Yes GM’s do say one thing, and do another, but so far the Red Sox have followed the same plan for 2 years now, and so far this year have stuck to last years plan just like they said they would. Reports of offering players contracts, and actually offering contracts doesn’t always mean they were offered, or legit. The Sox offered Lester a contract knowing he wouldn’t take itjust like they did with Betts. It meant absolutely nothing, so to keep on thinking the Sox are going to do something big to me is wishful thinking. Don’t get me wrong I would like to see them lock up Bogey, and Raffy, but I don’t think that will happen. I’m just going on for the 100th time on what Bloom, and Kennedy have said, and not my opinion, so I don’t know what you are going on. Another head scratcher?
  18. Well think what you want, but so far they have done exactly what they said they were going to do. If they were going to spend money this year I would have hoped they would have spent it on pitching instead of signing the likes of Whacka, and by the way you got your big contract when they traded for the overpriced JBJ. I’ll take what the big brass say as gospel until they do different, and wishful think isn’t going to change that.
  19. Even after the year end press conference that Kennedy, and Bloom had you still thought that?
  20. My only point was that it was a fairly young team in 2018 with home grown talent and if Bogey, and Raffy aren’t retained 2023 will be pretty much a whole new team in a few short years.
  21. It will be great to have millions of dollars to spend, but my question is how did we get to this point. Just a few years ago the Red Sox were coming off a WS Championship with a fairly young outfield, a fairly young left side of the IF, and if Boggey, and Raffy aren’t retained that will be pretty much a whole makeover of the team in 2023.
  22. That should be the main objective in all sports to level the playing field.
  23. It’s going to take lots of pushing if Bogey, and Raffy aren’t around, and lots of money too. It could be a whole new look, and not necessarily a team that’s near, or over the top.
  24. I’ve always thought there should be a hard cap with a top on how much a team could spend, and a bottom on how much a team has to spend. Maybe the owners, and players should switch sides for a while to see what the other side sees.either way when all is said, and done, and even if the season doesn’t start on time the fans will forgive, and pay whatever the going rate is.
  25. Always about money, but time does matter. Would you rather have Raffy under control for 2 more years, or 1 more year?
