  1. We’ll find out tomorrow.
  2. Agree 100%, and like his manager said they’ve still got him working on things with the bat. He hasn’t even made Worcester yet.
  3. I’m not Blaming anyone. My point still is that the BP has had to throw a lot of innings lately, and it doesn’t matter why, how, or when. Paxton got last taken out, because he throw 100 pitches in 5 innings, so that’s on him, and he threw 107 pitches a couple games before that. He’s not on any pitch count for health concerns either.
  4. I will agree that RAF may be the best defensive SS outside of Mayer, but he’s still not coming to Boston anytime soon, or if all as a SS.
  5. You saying, wishing, and hoping is not going to bring him to Boston as a SS this year. I doubt he even goes to Worcester as the SS. Like his manager said the other day he’s still a work in progress with his bat.
  6. For the upteenth time I’m only talking about how many innings the BP has had to pitch lately, and it doesn’t matter who is starting the game. Tiant, Pedro, or Roger could be starting the game, and if they only go 4-5 innings it doesn’t matter, or change how many innings the BP has to throw.
  7. Me too. I kind of remember seeing Ted, but really remember starting off with Yaz, so I’ve been there since 1960, and have seen all kinds.
  8. The burn out would most likely not come with Only 1/3 of the season gone, which was brought up the other day. 1/3 of the season is still relatively early, so to see no risk now is pretty premature, and definitely not looking further down the road. Wink, and the Kut Man have been starters, and Pivetta too, and pitching out of the pen is a whole different ballgame. There is a lot more to it than just looking at the amount of innings pitched. What type of innings, how many days between, and how many pitches thrown make a difference.
  9. Good news-bad news. Last night was a good win, and prevented another broom swat to the backsides. Better to be 2 games over 500 than 500 itself. Of course Sale going down for long time could be a big loss, and a MRI will be done today. 4 games in 3 days against Tampa, and will be going in with a BP that’s been worked hard the last 3 days, and it looks like Kluber going in one of the games on Sat. Tampa has had injuries to their staff too. The bats came alive for 1 inning last night, but outside of a few innings, and knocking around a batting practice pitcher in Arizona have been sleeping most of the time for over a week now. Div games are usually more exciting, so it could be an interesting WE.
  10. Dumbest bat in MLB history you said. Kike is an idiot, which was against the Phillies.
  11. Wow! Wow! Wow! You called him an idiot on here not to long ago, so I hope you are including yourself.
  12. Another night of 3 Yuckers in the booth. It’s tolerable when they are winning, but not when they are losing.
  13. I haven’t seen 1 person on here say it’s our god-given right to be champs every 5-6 years. Not one. Expectations are to be a winning-competitive team with a trip to the postseason yes. Anything less to me is a failure for whatever reason.
  14. Compared to who, and what?
  15. If you want to think Rafaela will be coming to Boston anytime soon, or at all as a SS them by all means go for it, but I don’t see it happening.
  16. WTF does that have to do with how many innings the BP has to pitch! and how many innings the BP has to pitch is my main point. Nothing more, or nothing less than that. It doesn’t matter to me who causes it to happen.
  17. Because he was pitching that night. I said the same thing about Paxton last night, because he only pitched 5 innings, and the BP had to go 4. I’ll say the same thing tonight too if Sale doesn’t last .
  18. That’s been the point I’ve been making the last few days. Even though Bello only gave up 1 run in 4 innings the other night the BP had to pitch 5. Last night they had to pitch 4. It’s been more than a week now that a starter has gone 6. The staff threw 199 pitches just the other night.
  19. Shouldn’t have to.
  20. When it comes to last place finishes. Yes!
  21. A big market club like the Red Sox should never have as many last place finishes as they’ve had, or the need to have any major rebuilding plans. Times up!
  22. This is year #4 in Boston, and that is slack enough.
  23. Reggie Smith was a 2B too, before he moved to CF. So what? The Red Sox already have their next SS of the future in Portland with Mayer, so RAF I believe stays in the OF. He’s still a ways away from seeing time in Boston. Nice try.
  24. The Sox do need a defensive SS badly, but I agree with this.
  25. Like Sam Kennedy said at last years season end presser We All failed. That’s one thing he was right about.
