  1. There was word out In MLB that someone out there wanted Sale, and would have taken his salary too, but Bloom didn’t do it,so don’t say there is no one out there that wouldn’t have done that. That may be your opinion just like I have mine, but it doesn’t make it so.
  2. They could have resigned Mookie, and Bogey too, but they didn’t, so when you say they could sign both Snell, and Monty right now that’s nothing, but wishful thinking.
  3. Everyone had Sale penciled in to the Red Sox rotation, and starting opening day.
  4. I’ve already answered that yesterday that I would have been happy if Atlanta had given nothing back as long as they paid all of Sale’s salary, which in return for that $27M saved the Red Sox could have gone out, and gotten something better than what they got back anyway. If it would the other way around, and the Red Sox paid $10M instead it would have looked a little better, but not $17M. That’s my opinion anyway. It’s like Sale is still on the team, but not pitching for you, and you’re still paying him $17M.
  5. No! It’s why. They paid JT not to play for them anymore.
  6. This is all well, and good, but it still doesn’t mean the Red Sox should have paid Atlanta $17M for Sale to go, and pitch for them.
  7. Why wouldn’t they be spending the $17M on someone else, or as I would look at it $27M.🙈
  8. I would have been happy if they had gotten nothing in return for Sale as long as the other team picked up his entire salary.
  9. Nothing wrong with getting a decent prospect for Sale. The problem to me is paying $17M to do it.
  10. But will he be an upgrade on D at 2B?
  11. Bad glove, bad arm, or both?
  12. I guess Story, and Yoshida didn’t do it for you.
  13. Even though Sale has a good team behind him the big question of course is IF he can stay healthy. Maybe a change of scenery will change his luck. If so good for him, and the Braves will get even better, and could possibly get Sale for 2yrs/ $30M.
  14. I don’t think you learn anything, and take into next year from yesterday’s game. It was 1 JV team against another JV team. Glad to see Angeli get a chance, and looked pretty good, but he’ll be back to the bench next year if he doesn’t transfer.
  15. Well he’s young with 4 more years control, but I don’t think Yorke would do it.
  16. Nobody knows what Bogey would have done if that would have been offered after the 2021, or 2022 seasons, but it would have had a better chance than when it was finally offered.
  17. Agree, and it definitely wasn’t that 1 yr extension that Bloom tried to pawn off on him either. What a joke that was.
  18. Look at it anyway anybody wants, but for this year the Red Sox are on the hoof for $17M.
  19. Big wheels are turning.
  20. He just turns 23 in a few days.
  21. NOBODY ever said the Red Sox should have given Bogey what SD did, and if things would have been done right by DD, and or Bloom they wouldn’t have had to.
  22. He’s had 216 AB in 2 years, but only 75 last year. Hopefully he’s better at 2B than he was at SS where they said he struggled.
  23. I don’t what it shows, because I still can’t get over paying the Braves $17M
  24. I’m definitely not sad to see Sale get traded, but I don’t like paying $17M to do it.
  25. I get Cole is an ace, but how many more aces are there really out there?
