  1. Montas sucks, he has an ERA of 5.00 away from Oakland. I knew this was gonna be a bad deal.
  2. And, as I clearly showed, it's just an excuse.....
  3. They are wallowing in last place because they have the worst record in the division that they do play in.
  4. Now you are moving the goal posts. Your claim was that the sox had "unprecedented" injuries (which is not true) and that's the reason that they are not competitive. I merely pointed out that injuries are not a valid excuse for a $200M+ payroll to not be competitive and wallow in last place. Pretty simple.
  5. That was just the most injured Yankee team of the bunch. Over the last 10yrs, the Yanks have had several seasons that were injury ridden. Heck, even moon harps on how injury prone the Yanks are because of the "hulks" that they sign. The Yanks have basically been competitive that whole time. I could be wrong, but I don't remember them being under .500 and in last place this late in the season that whole time.
  6. I did a quick tally of the names that came to mind and I would say so, if not real close. Bottom line is that they remained competitive while truly having unprecedented injuries.
  7. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/yankees-set-mlb-record-for-most-injured-players-in-a-single-season-as-gio-urshela-hits-il/
  8. Heck, they have over $70M on the DL right now.....
  9. Hardly "unprecedented". The Yanks have certainly had $100M sidelined with injuries. And who said anything about winning the WS with all those injuries? I was saying they should at least remain competitive. And you were certainly a sub .500 more than halfway through the season, last night notwithstanding.
  10. The Yanks have been decimated in recent years by injuries. In that time they were not a sub .500 team in last place more than halfway through the season. No excuse with a $200M payroll.
  11. Injuries are a weak excuse for last place.
  12. Cashman's teams have pretty much always been competitive as well, never finishing below .500 and only missing the playoffs a handful of times. Does that mean billy beane must have compromising photos, video and audio as well?
  13. At least Cashman has won, how do you explain billy beane? Longest-tenured MLB general managers WWW.MLB.COM The title might differ from franchise to franchise, but whether it’s the general manager, the president of baseball operations or the chief baseball officer, every MLB team has one person who’s ultimately responsible for the on-field product, and there's not a lot of job security in such a high-stakes business.
  14. Regardless if it's "old" money or not, he's still spending it.
  15. I have to laugh at the people that accuse henry of going cheap. We get the same thing from dummy Yankees fans claiming Hal is cheap. Ignorant fans on both sides of the fence......
  16. Nonsense, insults are hurled around in here all the time yet you only call me out on it and are silent when others do so. But that's just because you are a hypocrite.
  17. Ahh, right, but when I do it I'm a troll. Got it, thanks for playing......
  18. I hope you also got a puppy and a pizza for your safe space....
  19. Basically what the sox paid chris freakin' frail this year alone!!
  20. Just another ignorant statement, bellhop. So guys that come to NY that underperform are due to "bad coaching", what about guys like Matt Carpenter who come to NY and outperform? I guess that is just luck? Or, like many clowns on here, do you attribute it to PED's?
  21. bingo!!
  22. But it certainly did hurt building the farm. The sox aren't going anywhere this year, the failure to capitalize on trading the expiring contracts was just another poor decision by hang 'em chaim.
  23. It could be worse, imagine if cnn broadcast games......
  24. He may be hitting and fielding but he ain't doing much winning.....
  25. About as accurate as you "realistic" threads......
