Amazing how these hitters struggle early on vs. starters of all kinds, but eat the BP's lunch in the 8th and 9th.
-
Messed up Kimbrel's save chance. But a very timely hit and very welcome. Nunez pushes another across with a fly ball shot.
-
Bogaerts's Player Day nickname should have been "Chaser"or Mr. Double
-
Not exactly a playoff game, but they are winning on the road against a division leader and have Kimbrel coming in to ruin the Braves day. 8 pitchers for 9 innings. Glad it is September
-
Matt benefitted from a close strike/ball call. Glad it went our way.
-
Can't the Braves hit a decent clean grounder ?? preferably at one of our fielders
-
Just another bleeder of a s*** hit, not much Barnes could do. But I guess he could watch the guy on first
-
When relievers go beyond 20 pitches for whatever reason, they head south quickly.
-
Like I said take 2 and hit to right, way to go !
-
Take the walk, Ian, don't fight it.
-
Helluva fastball to get Albies. That's what we need, a fastball pitcher, right Joe K ?
-
Hah ! Heath Hembree to save the 7th. This will be interesting in a 3-2 game with 1st and 3rd. Brazier didn't pitch as well as before and got screwed on an infield dribbler though Nunez looked slow to the ball.
-
Activated tomorrow
-
Brasier getting tagged on 2 strike counts. Need the DP.
-
7th, 8th and 9th will be testers today. Have patience and confidence, I tell myself. The lack of a 2 strike out pitch by these guys is amazing
-
1 scoring inning in last 16, with a 3 spot.
-
I hope Mookie didn't loaf on that bobble and get thrown out at first. Not like him but just wondering.
-
Welcome, Joe Kelly. Nice to let the little guy get some stats. Game is very far from over now.
-
Apparently Phillips and Devers will be activated Tuesday.
-
With Sale and price returning, it is probably time to introduce Eovaldi to his BP mates. Obviously not in command of his stuff and unable to control. But he held Atlanta scoreless in another baseball random act of kindness
-
Offensive powerhouse shows up low in the batting order with 3 doubles. Touki Toussaint thinking he could no hit these sluggers. No way!
-
Be nice to win the 18 by ourselves and forget NYY.
-
Only watching the later innings to get more familiar with 2019's starting lineup in Pawtucket . Not sure these guys playing the 7-8-9 will make it to Worcester.
-
Robby Scott could be an effective LOOGY if he can have his control on hand for that one batter. His extreme sidearm delivery must be hard on lefties.
-
Pedroia, the other 20-30% ??
