  1. Well the good news is that after the Sox rally to take the lead in the 9th, Kendrys will be the leadoff hitter for the NYY'ers. There's that edge we want.
  2. Brasier got bored with Gardner so just gave him the walk before Brett hit 20 foul balls. Now going for the DP, It's much easier
  3. No, but Chris Sale had 10 K's in only 6 innings. I know your point about the NESN guys
  4. Like the recent Astros series, this one in NY has been discussed as one to show how this year's Sox measure up against top teams. 2 games to go, but I think we are getting a glimpse of the same team we have seen all along. Inconsistent, boring and with little playing to ability.
  5. Give him a 10 day IL although depending on the damage, he may need more to get truly healthy. But it's still early. Wait until we hit June before getting too concerned.
  6. Ottavino is lucky the Yankees had not yet retired the #0
  7. Did you folks realize that Chavis and Devers are a combined 453 pounds but Vaz and Leon are only 420lbs. This is affecting us.
  8. The obligatory Porcello for Sale. 12 starts, 66 innings and 11 HR's allowed, but how about all those K's
  9. Some of the worst fundamental baseball you can watch. Lots of discussion about Cora's role in the 2019 preparation and results. Players complimented him today for being the same guy , win or lose. Here's a hint Alex. They are playing with heads up their asses. Wake them up and throw some food around.
  10. When Nunez gives you a no out hit, you need to work him around with some follow up.
  11. Good one. I can picture Doc sitting in the wet seat waittng for the next CLANG
  12. Ball/strike umpiring sets new lows with every game
  13. O'Brien and Eck again totally focused on the K total. They ought to look at the scoreboard once in awhile. Maybe with men on base, Sale's brain overrides his arm and shorts him a little.
  14. It's only eyeballing but Sale has trouble regaining his command, if he had it at all when things don't go right for him. The big slider is not a strike pitch, it's almost always out of the zone (intentionally, I'm sure)
  15. Then Pearce and JDM can take turns massaging each others back
  16. Tell me again how Leon helps Sale. I know the ERA is better than with Vaz but but Sale is about to blow back through the 5.00 ERA level if he gives up another run
  17. 0-2 on Hicks a weak hitter, and then give up a 2 run single to him. Could not put him away.
  18. Sale is simply not the dominant pitcher many think he is. He seems to have problems stopping the bleeding when he gives up a couple hits. The K totals, in his case, are deceptive
  19. Colossal, and for many years, like Jeter before him
  20. NYPD, I'd like to report a missing person. Julio David Martinez. Happ has yet to throw him a strike but the impostor is swinging at anything. Something not right.
  21. Other than our basketball team of pitchers , the Red Sox feature some of the smaller regulars you will see
  22. Sorry, I missed an inning, what happened to Pearce ? Shortens a somewhat short bench quickly
  23. Not a cheap RF HR by Devers.
  24. The lineup looks very circa 2018 especially with Betts leading off in front of Beni, and Nunez at 2B, I assume because of Happ
