    I can understand the no moves at the trade deadline, if other teams saw DD as desperate and tried to screw him. But it also means that guys like JBJr and Moreland had little real world value. Several uniform numbers will come available this winter and I imagine we see 5-7 new faces next year

    There really is no excuse for paying JBJr $9-$10 million ( based on arbitration request). Offer him $6M and see what the arbitrator rules. Otherwise, there must be some team that will take him for 7-8-9 defense.

    Continue to be bothered by the utter incompetence of some of the umpires, who, in effect, because of their union and the need to accomodate known fools, defy accountability. Maybe if there was a pitch speed limit, they could see it better, like about 70mph. Seriously, how does MLB clean the trash and get some sharper heads in there?
