  1. No way you would PH JDM here and put Arauz in at second. Just to maybe try something ?
  2. Maybe a 100 years for 5 million. He is doing ok, but I come back to the fact that this game is winnable, but no hitter other than Bogie is hitting anything
  3. But Dick Weber could throw more strikes than Ryan Weber or any of these throwers in blue shirts
  4. Ok, here's the conspiracy theory---- Mazza didn't know he would be pitching for the Red Sox this year, but in his first appearance he has a blue glove with red piping and his name on it. Something's going on
  5. Who needs to hit when you can walk ?
  6. Really can't see Roenicke coming back. His team has no energy and I don't think he is the personality to bring it. Some of these deadheads need a rude awakening, hitters and pitchers
  7. I do see Mazza got the 2 out ; 2 strike pitching memo. Really struggling to end the 5th
  8. I thought about pitching for a second, but killed that idea.
  9. Thinking about 2021, I would not expect to see Plawecki, Lin, Bradley, Moreland or Arauz on the active roster. JDM is a question mark regarding his option, Somehow I imagine Chavis and Beni will be there unless part of a trade. Not sure where Peraza fits in either
  10. Devers and Beni hitting a little under .250 COMBINED, after 66 AB's. At least Beni is walking a fair bit recently.
  11. Just in case you were wondering, I'm also pretty tired of Tzu-wei Lin as the answer to any question. That was a pitiful AB
  12. Yes, we have no pitching talent but we make up for it by having a lot of pitchers (with no talent)
  13. If I was the Sox guy standing next to Godley having to listen to him run his mouth, I would just say STFU before I get infected by your pitching disease
  14. Mazza is now the 17th thrower run out there by Roenicke in the 9th game
  15. Urshela GS's Godley , then shits on him again while stands there holding the ball with no clue, and then made a s***** throw to second when Urshela was still running and could have been caught... No wonder the hitters act like they don't care.
  16. Or just disappear like children of the corn.
  17. Like last night, this game is still very winnable , but the lack of spark and energy by the hitters is too evident. They really don't have core of tough outs this year. Bogaerts , Pillar and Vazquez may be all there is.
  18. Verdugo not really showing any better promise than Chavis or Beni in terms of chasing pitches.
  19. Other than the Grand Slam, Mrs. Godley, your husband would be winning this game. Too bad reality is such a bummer
  20. If 2021 even comes close to a regular season (my bet is no), you are right about the layoffs. In 8 complete games so far the Sox have used 16 pitchers already. At least 3 would have to go, plus hoping Erod comes back. A healed Chris Sale next late summer will have trouble cracking this group.
  21. It's far from too early to start reworking this roster for 2021 . In a year, which if played out, it will never be easier to reach the playoffs, they will be looking at 22-24 wins, if lucky. I do believe Roenicke will be offered up , not for Cora to come back, but to apologize for a truly lost season, especially with Erod now out for the year, and perhaps questionable in the future .
  22. The of shift hits have been numerous but Roenicke apparently likes his analytics. Glad he does, so he can use them in his next job in 2021.
  23. I'm living in SoCal and get to see alot of news/radio/tv on the Angels, who may be the only worse result team with decent players than the Red Sox. managed by the other TB and Cub genius, Joe Maddon
