  1. Only 3 starters guaranteed for next year are Story 2B/SS, Verdugo LF and Devers 3B. Every other position is a question mark depending who they trade and/or don't re-sign. They will have money to spend but they are going to have to spend in order to have a competitive team.
  2. Besides being a great hitter, what has Devers ever done or said that puts him in the same category as Manny?
  3. Another lackluster performance by the Sox featuring poor starting pitching, no hitting and lack of fundamentals. They have too many guys who should be in AAA or DFAed.
  4. Poor fundamental play by Refsnyder. Missed the cutoff man with weak ass throw and allowed man to go to second. Just cost them a DP.
  5. As a pitcher, Dalbec would be a good hitter.
  6. Plawecki looked like I would look trying to catch Houck. But of course, I am 65.
  7. Dalbec should go back to pitching.
  8. Says you. Red Sox are #1, Cardinals are #2. Yankees suck.
  9. After the Sox lose tonight they can trash those ugly uniforms and go back to the traditional home whites. No better uniform in baseball.
  10. Wow. Sanchez won't be playing for the Globetrotters any time soon.
  11. Horrible call by home plate ump to even get it to replay.
  12. What is the purpose of replay if they still get it wrong. Horrible decision.
  13. One game winning streak.
  14. Ohtani. Devers. Tatis. Acuna.
  15. They must have copies of the incriminating photographs that JBJ has.
  16. Ducks on the pond, no outs and Franchy and Dalbec both strike out. They both SUCK!
  17. I was one out away from getting a quality start from Pivetta for my fantasy team and Cora takes him out!
  18. He has taken enough of them.
  19. I know it was a cheap hit but why not pitch around Ramirez? Can't let their best guy beat you.
  20. Per MLB Trade Rumors: The Red Sox acquired outfielder Abraham Almonte from the Brewers in exchange for cash this afternoon, according to an announcement from Milwaukee. The switch-hitting outfielder had been on a minor league deal with the Brew Crew. He won’t occupy a spot on the Sox’s 40-man roster at this time, and his transactions tracker at MLB.com indicates he’s been assigned to their Triple-A affiliate in Worcester. Almonte is trying to earn a big league opportunity for what would be his tenth consecutive year. He broke into the majors in 2013 with the Mariners, and he’s bounced around the league as a depth outfielder for the past decade. Almonte has never played in more than 82 games in any major league season, but he’s suited up with each of the Mariners, Padres, Guardians, Royals, Diamondbacks and Braves at the highest level. In just over 1300 career plate appearances, Almonte owns a .234/.302/.374 line. He hit .216/.331/.399 across 175 plate appearances with Atlanta last year before the Braves outrighted him off their roster in August. The 33-year-old has had an excellent season with Milwaukee’s top affiliate, mashing at a .293/.380/.533 clip with 11 home runs and a robust 11.7% walk percentage through 48 games in Nashville. What a waste of money.
  21. Nice hit but poor base running by Sanchez. The play was right in front of him.
  22. Thank goodness Eck is doing the game rather than Tony Mazz. Night and day difference. Eck is the best in the business.
  23. 200 million plus doesn't get you a very good lineup.
  24. A pathetic start to the second half. Injuries and poor fundamental play has doomed this team. They will be sellers at the deadline.
  25. Red Sox can't throw anybody out at second.
