    That was a joke, right? Baez doesn't hit for average, only hit total of 26 homers the last two years, 45 errors last two years and strikes out a lot. Plus he wants over 20 million a year. No thanks.

    I think the Red Sox feel they will have to make major moves this off season to improve the team and to keep the fan base interested. All the empty seats this past season have sent a clear message. I will be interested to see what they do.

    Great Red Sox player, great husband and father. As opposed to many on this board, I enjoyed his commentary on Red Sox broadcasts and post-game. He knew the game and he knew the Red Sox. Its a shock because, as far as I know, this was not known by many people. Rest In Peace Tim. Red Sox Nation will miss you but never forget your contributions.

    Wacha 14-4, 3.22 E.R.A. Bloom thought it was smarter to give Kluber 10 million. Another reason he got fired. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

    I like the way Nick Pivetta pitched the last few months of the season. I think he can be in the rotation next year. I just hope the Red Sox aren’t dumb enough to give him a huge extension this off-season based on a couple of months pitching with no pressure.

    Houck should not be in the rotation next year. He is a bullpen guy at best.

    Bloom could have traded him and all of his salary last year and couldn't pull the trigger. That, and the blowing of the trade deadline for the last 2 years are the main reasons he was fired.

    When the Red Sox reached rock bottom yesterday by being as bad as the Yankees, Bloom had to be fired. When they sank as low as the Yankees that's it. He gone.
