    Got my copy of Sports Illustrated in the mail today. The cover was the 1978 Yankees coming back against the Red Sox. I immediately ripped the cover off, went and found the 10 page article, ripped it out and shredded them both! I should just cancel the piece of trash!

    This celebration is much better than the last time they did it in Yankee Stadium when Kelly gave up the walk off homer.

    Red Sox and Browns celebrating on the same night. Who would have thought?

    I love Mookie and if he wins the MVP I will be happy but the Sox whole offensive approach and confidence changed this year with having J.D. hitting 3rd and 4th and hitting 40+ Hrs and driving in 124 RBIs. He also leads the majors in average with runners in scoring position I believe. He has been the difference. Mookie is also great but we are talking MVP.

    I never get tired of seeing a Red Sox team celebrating in the locker room spraying champagne all over each other. I just hope the Yankee Stadium custodians are going to be able to clean it all up.

    Cora would be the second biggest difference, IMO. He has had a magical first year.

    The big difference between last year's team and this year's team is J.D. Martinez.

    Apparently you haven't noticed J.D. Martinez. Mookie may win but J.D. is equally deserving with his monster year and potential Triple Crown.

    I would pitch Kimbrel in the 9th and get out of here with the division. Kimbrel can take the next two or three days off. The last thing we need is Barnes to come in and walk a couple of guys.

    I'd much rather have Cora as the Sox manager, wouldn't you?

    7 walks for E-Rod!!!!! Horrible performance. Put him down the list for playoff starters and how can he be used out of the pen with all those walks. They have plenty of guys that can do that. So much for Hembree being good with runners on base. I will say that it was a cheap Yankee stadium home run but that is no excuse. I would like to see the Sox start hitting some cheap home runs there.

    Two popups with a man on third and one out are going to be huge tonight.

    The fact that the Sox will still be 10 1/2 games ahead after tonight is comforting but what is not comforting is that this is the bullpen the Sox have to go with for the playoffs. Ugh!

    I hate this bullpen. I don't feel good when any of them come in outside of Kimbrel and even he hasn't been at his best lately.
