Workman can pitch the 6th, Thornburg the 7th, if the Sox get up by 10 they can have Kelly pitch the 8th, otherwise hope for good Matt Barnes in the 8th and Kimbrel in the 9th.
Espinal is 23 years old and he is hitting .222 in Class A since the trade. He is at least 3 years away from the majors and even then, he is an unknown. Pearce can help the Sox win now.
Dave Dombrowski always makes good moves prior to the trade deadline. Getting Pearce for a low level minor leaguer was a really good move and he also signed Tony Phillips recently and that it turn out to be a good move also.
Tony Phillips has been promoted to AAA. He will be the starting second basemen for the Sox very soon. He had a very good year last year and still has something left in the tank.
