    Then you can't appreciate a good analyst because Eck is the best. He is insightful, funny and knowledgeable, in addition to being a Hall Of Fame player. Thats why all the major networks tried to get him.

    I am very sad to hear the news that Eck is retiring from NESN at the end of the year. He is the best analyst in the business. He is the one reason I enjoy the NESN broadcasts because I sure don't enjoy the product on the field. He has been a joy to listen to and when he and Jerry were in the booth together it was great. He is moving to California to be closer to his grandchildren. Can't blame him for that. Enjoy retirement Eck. You will be missed by all Red Sox fans.

    Blame game: 1. John Henry for hiring Bloom. 2. Bloom. He is way out of his league. He put together a dysfunctional team and has not improved it at all. 3. Cora. His moves this season have been mostly puzzling. 4. The players. It all adds up to a disaster of a season.

    If it were not for having my nephew get married in Wisconsin Friday I would have made the trip to KC to see the Sox. What a break!

    JBJ is done. It was a mistake to trade for him. Waste of money and Sox got worse. A lot of centerfielders make that play.

    This Red Sox team is a total embarrassment to all prior Red Sox teams, inculding Valentine's team. KC is a triple A team but so is the Red Sox.

    Met him in St.Louis some 20 years ago outside of the Dodger hotel. He was very nice and signed a ball for my son. Class act.

    In the 6th inning, Man on first, no outs and Sanchez is in an 0-25 skid. Astros have shift on. Can someone tell me why Sanchez isn't bunting to no one at third base? He is a punch and judy hitter anyway. Dumb baseball.

    Bullpens are a crap shoot from year to year. Schreiber is having a career year better than he has ever been. He might turn back into a pumpkin next year. Barnes is done as an effective reliever. Whitlock and Houck are the real deals. Strahm is so so. Definitely need more power arms.
