I loved Pedro, but Gibson was the best RH pitcher I ever saw.
I can envision deGrom finishing the season with an ERA under 2 and still losing 9 games. That's how anemic the Mets' offense is. Bob Gibson had those two stats in 1968, because the Cards couldn't hit their weight.
Nice win. If Boston is going to contend this season, these are the type of games they have to win. The bats aren't going to be alive every game. Just a great display of pitching by everyone concerned.

An unbelievable year for Pedro. He finished the season with an ERA under 2. Second in ERA that year in the AL was Clements with an ERA over 3. I seriously doubt that will ever happen again.
