  1. 2 very good reasons deGrom should come to the SOX. 1) he'd have more runs to work with and 2) the SOX wouldn't have to face him.
  2. When there's only 3 umps, maybe MLB should allow more video replays.
  3. Hope Layne is alright, but he was heard to say "It's a miracle; I can see!"
  4. Actually, I enjoy the putz getting upset. Btw, the best HP umpiring I may have ever seen was by a guy named Leslie Neilsen.
  5. Darling was also mocking Pivetta's swing. Just be happy those of you in NESN land that you have ECK and Remy. There's much worse.
  6. Effective at-bat by Pivetta. I'm getting the Mets' feed and Darling(putz) is getting awfully upset with HP chUMP.
  7. He should check the Mets' BA's; maybe that will inspire him to throw more strikes.
  8. Marwin may not be a good hitter, but he's smooth as butter on defense.
  9. deGrom would still be amazing if he pitched in the AL; just not as amazing.
  10. Walking a Mets' batter is about as smart as throwing underhand to the SOX.
  11. Because most of the time he doesn't get a hit; much like the rest of their line-up.
  12. Curt Flood used to torment Gibby by telling him when the Cards scored the 1st run "there's your run, Gibby; don't blow it." I loved Pedro, but Gibson was the best RH pitcher I ever saw.
  13. I can envision deGrom finishing the season with an ERA under 2 and still losing 9 games. That's how anemic the Mets' offense is. Bob Gibson had those two stats in 1968, because the Cards couldn't hit their weight.
  14. At least the SOX have their best line-up available for tonight's game.
  15. Hope the SOX can leave a large dent on deGrom's minuscule ERA tonight. No BRUINS' game tonight, so I'll be watching the SOX live.
  16. Nice win. If Boston is going to contend this season, these are the type of games they have to win. The bats aren't going to be alive every game. Just a great display of pitching by everyone concerned. DVR'd this game because I watched the BRUINS beat the Pens earlier.
  17. I'd prefer Dugo over Renfroe, but, who knows, Renfroe may have a 'blind squirrel' evening.
  18. An unbelievable year for Pedro. He finished the season with an ERA under 2. Second in ERA that year in the AL was Clements with an ERA over 3. I seriously doubt that will ever happen again.
  19. That E-Rod didn't pitch last year and that he started this season with a missed start because of a tired arm, I find it quite amazing that he's 4-0.
  20. All humans have bad days; let's hope DeGrom is human enough to have one.
  21. It would solve a lot of problems if JD had some experience at 1st base. Similar to Ortiz, who, btw, played very decent defense.
  22. I'm quite happy at this point that the SOX are the only team in the AL East to be over .500.
