  1. Someone mentioned yesterday that Dalbec was 25. I just checked; he's 25. He definitely needs to get it rolling this year. You get old early in baseball.
  2. It actually works no matter who he starts against. One of the main reasons the SOX have such an awesome W/L record when he starts.
  3. I was referring to my earlier post where I mentioned the SOX line-up was top heavy.
  4. C'mon, Eduardo, need a shut-down inning. Keep the O's at 0.
  5. Line-up not looking so much like Dolly Parton now.
  6. Naw, this is what the SOX do when E-rod starts. Hardly ever fails.
  7. That throw out at 2nd looms large. E-rod not fooling too many O's.
  8. He wants to be Dewey, but that ain't gonna happen. Btw, Dewey's 24 should have been retired a long time ago.
  9. Even if JD had swung he's not going to hit that pitch. Harvey's tough.
  10. The SOX line-up reminds me of Dolly Parton. Top heavy.
  11. Hell, Thunder, hot girls are a dime a dozen, but good hitters are much rarer. Got to get your priorities straight.
  12. I can't even imagine a manager trying to take Bob Gibson out of a game because he threw 100 pitches. The manager would get his what for and Bob would still be on the mound.
  13. Let's all hope that the SOX continue to score a bunch when E-rod starts. Lot of innings left.
  14. Prior to the 'pitch count' era, no one cared how many pitches a pitcher threw; hell, it was never even mentioned. Nolan Ryan, because of control issues, would throw close to 200 pitches in a lot of games.
  15. I'm guessing Devers employs a 31oz bat. Same weight bat that Ted Williams used. I'm also guessing that Devers read Williams' book.
  16. Renfroe can't help but throw the ball to 3rd base.
