    It's kind of funny that MLB is implementing these new s*****(imho) rules to speed up the game, but then turns a blind eye to the weakest part of the game that really needs fixing, the umpiring.

    Most professions have the inevitable inept employee, who eventually gets fired. No non-political profession that I'm aware of has more inept employees than MLB umpires, and they are seldom if ever fired. It's truly a disgrace.

    I remember when the DH was implemented in the AL. Cries of they're taking the 'purity' out of the game. If they could have only seen what was the future for MLB.

    Another new rule to add purity to the game is that once a reliever is brought in he must face at least 3 batters.

    Actually, Cora did bring Andriese in in the 9th with a big lead and then Cora still had to bring in Barnes to close it.
