    E-Rod is a perfect example of not just employing a pitcher's W/L record when evaluating his strengths and weaknesses. In fact, W/L may be the most deceiving of all pitcher stats.

    This doesn't really mean a lot, but I seriously doubt any team in the AL East will win 100 games this season. I'm guessing 92-95 will win the East.

    Bassit's ERA coming into this game was 3.70. Not great, but not terrible, either.

    I always give pitchers credit, whether they're on the SOX or the opposition. I'll just post this for the 1000th time; Good pitching beats good hitting.
