  1. The SOX sad history of developing starting pitching speaks for itself.
  2. Perhaps the SOX shouldn't draft a pitcher. Their farm system will only ruin him.
  3. Brice appears to be the perfect replacement for Andriese. Is Marwin warming up?
  4. This forum wasn't the only thing broke today. Hopefully, the SOX can be repaired by tomorrow.
  5. If Leiter is off the board, then the next best pitching prospect is Kumar Rocker, who, like Leiter, pitched for Vanderbilt.
  6. Clearing waivers I would think shouldn't be a problem. Btw, Moon, you know more about this draft than I ever will. I hear the name Jack Leiter, Al's son, being mentioned a lot as the SOX 4th pick if he's still on the board. What do you think?
  7. Pivetta is skipping his scheduled start today. Perez will be on the mound instead.
  8. Nothing much good to say about the 2020 poor excuse for a baseball season concerning the SOX, except that they will have the #4 pick in the upcoming draft.
  9. After last night's appearance Andriese was limping back to the dugout. The SOX have put him on the 10 day IL. According to a SOX source, when the 10 day IL expires, Andriese will be demoted to Worcester. Brice was called up this morning to replace Andriese.
  10. Train wrecks always attract a lot of attention.
  11. If Andriese's stats were removed from the SOX BP, I wonder where the SOX BP would rank against the rest of the league?
  12. Actually, not really an honor, but definitely a delight.
  13. Definitely an 'honor and delight' to watch him play against the SOX and not for the SOX. And, yes, he is a tool.
  14. The strongest and most consistent part of the SOX this season has been the BP. What the SOX need is a starting pitcher. Btw, if Andriese is still on the SOX by PO time, then I'm certain there's some kind of extortion going on.
  15. So would Kimbrel to a team that is contending and actually needs a closer.
  16. It's kinda of funny that the SOX current closer is going to the All-star game and we're talking about going after a closer.
  17. The AL East team that I believe would go the hardest to acquire Kimbrel would probably be Toronto.
  18. To keep the SOX BP rested for the ASB, perhaps the SOX can get another inning from Andriese.
  19. Perhaps, but not significantly. Hey, Moon, what if Andriese wore thick bifocals on the mound and threw his 1st warm-up pitch to the backstop. You think that might make him more effective?
  20. At least it seems doubtful based on his number of pitches that Cora can use Andriese tomorrow.
  21. I think he was referring to Andriese's stash of weed.
  22. Because a lot of runs he gives up are charged to the preceding pitcher.
  23. Leave him in Cora until it's a close game.
  24. Hard to believe there's no one better in the SOX farm than Andriese. I know the farm is Death Valley for pitching, but this is embarrassing.
