  1. I've retired also. Hopefully, we can go with that 3 man rotation I mentioned earlier.
  2. And a big shout out to Pedro. I love you, Pedro. Besides being the great pitcher he was, he was also the main reason the SOX signed David Ortiz.
  3. I really shouldn't be dissing JH. The SOX have won the most WS since 2000 and that was mostly do to JH not afraid to spend heavily. He really has been a great owner.
  4. It's only a 'big market team' if the owner gives you a blank check. That didn't happen. I would blame Bloom for protecting all his top prospects. So with no blank check, not willing to part with any top prospects, leaves making any significant trade impossible. Like I posted earlier, I'm surprised the SOX even got Schwarber for a single A pitcher. If Schwarber wasn't on the IL, the SOX probably wouldn't have gotten him either.
  5. I suck on starting game threads also. We should stick with MOON, THUNDER and MAX. 3 man rotation.
  6. They did trade their closer to the Astros as did Seattle.
  7. Wow, can you imagine if EO wasn't having his best season ever, so far.
  8. Cora might have mentioned to Bloom "please get me a starter."
  9. But in the long season, usually the team with the better pitching and defense wins the race. Comeback wins are exciting, but are they sustainable over 162 games? For the SOX sake, we'd better hope so.
  10. That this particular team is currently in 1st place may be the best magic trick I've ever seen.
  11. Someone who wasn't a big baseball fan and didn't keep track of the standings would assume after reading these posts that the SOX were in last place. Moon said it best when he called this season, so far, magical. There's really no other valid explanation.
  12. When you post it that way, yes, he's the least of the worst.
  13. I agree with much of what you posted, but, really, there is no help for Perez.
  14. Maybe that helps explain why JH didn't want to spend any money. Apologies to JH; I certainly don't want to see the guy in the poorhouse.
  15. Why does Pivetta get a pass when discussing bad SOX starters?
  16. Bloom gets his marching orders from JH. He wasn't allowed to spend money and he was attempting to wheel and deal with a weak farm system. I'm somewhat surprised they even got Schwarber.
  17. I was being sarcastic. There's just no way one can polish s***.
  18. SOX offense is busting their ass to win this. Sad that Cora didn't recognize that Perez had nothing, again.
  19. As long as Fenway sells out every game, JH is happy.
  20. Illinois, do you think they should try a 4 man rotation? But, until Sale returns, the SOX actually have a 2 man rotation. Houck and EO and three days of zero.
  21. More like lack of talent, but with 30 teams there just isn't enough talent. It's unfortunate the SOX have 4 starters who fall under that category.
  22. I also love Paul Simon. Btw, Cora is saving the BP for the PO's.
