  1. Maybe Plawecki catches tonight because he's 2-5 against Ryu where as VAZ is 1-9.
  2. With Ray and Ryu the Jays have two quality starters. If they can add some more good arms to their pitching corp, they're gonna be a tough team to deal with in the foreseeable future.
  3. Seeing that Houck and Sale both pitch with similar arm angles, I'm thinking Sale would be a perfect tutor for Houck.
  4. I don't know, but I'm guessing the Nats will get better offers than that.
  5. In fact, Toronto, who are 10.5 games behind the SOX and barely over .500, have almost a 20 run higher differential. Obviously, a meaningless stat. But somewhere in Fenway Park the ghost of Rod Serling is whistling the theme to The Twilight Zone.
  6. Looking at the MLB standings, run differential aligns with the top teams in every division except for the AL East and the NL Least.
  7. Well, if the Yankems win, the SOX have a 2.5 game lead. So, there's that.
  8. Also, I have no clue why anyone would think Garrett would be helpful in the BP. To get rid of him the SOX would probably have to add a prospect in the deal, even if it's for a bag of balls and still the SOX would probably have to eat part of his contract.
  9. Ya know, Moon, with these goofy 7 inning games the SOX could have done a BP start in the 1st game. Could of, should of; obviously it doesn't matter now.
  10. If he could just transfer that 'D' to his bat.
  11. He actually made an equally good deefensive play at 1st earlier when Houck was pitching.
  12. Good job, Moon, but in Thunder's defense, he really didn't have much of a chance with Richards starting a 7 inning game. And especially against the Jays' best pitcher.
  13. Bob Gibson hit a lot of batters, mostly intentionally, but very few ever charged the mound because they would get hurt even worse if they did.
  14. The way he hasn't been hitting of late, I'd be miserable also.
  15. Chapman is still the closer for the Yankems.
  16. I certainly hope JD finishes the season strong, but, whether he does or not, I'd prefer he's not on the team next season.
  17. The great pitchers of olden times made a career of high inside pitches. Changes the whole complexion of the at-bat.
  18. Even triples don't have to be hit very hard.
  19. Not a doctor but I believe I read an article that said while muscles gain mass, tendons don't.
  20. Devers is the last guy on the team we need to see injured.
  21. It appears Bobby Dee peaked very early in his career.
  22. Fragile Arroyo has left SOX with limited options.
  23. Starting staff next season? EO,Whitlock, Houck, Sale and ?
