    SOX starting pitching has already gone south. If it goes any further south, it will end up in Antarctica.

    My brother called me after the game. I picked up the phone and said "Red Sox Hot Line; the line is hot, the SOX are not." My brother responded with a phony laugh.

    I would question 'season over.' However, I would leave out the 'WOW!' because I wouldn't be surprised if it is.

    0 hasn't been as effective as he was earlier on, but his history says we shouldn't be surprised.

    Funny how motivated a team can become when their GM picks up a quality bat before the trade deadline. The players on said team start thinking the management really wants them to go for broke.

    If the SOX aren't going to win the championship this year, my first thought would be that I hope the Rays do. But, I won't hope that, because their 'fans' don't deserve it.

    Even very good pitchers have off nights, not the night to be off, but thems the breaks. I'd like to tell you that tomorrow the SOX will have another good pitcher starting, but I'd be lying my ass off.

    The bad news is if he continues sucking for most of the remainder of the season, he probably won't opt out of his contract.

    JD did have a great April and carried the team for much of that month. In fact, his April was so good that it's the main reason his stats are still respectable right now. So, at this point, I'll call him Mr April.

    If Bloom looks for another catcher, the job description should also include "can you polish s***?"

    The vast majority of the time this season when I say 'nice job' by a SOX pitcher, it's usually in regards to a reliever. Nice job, Taylor.
