    E-rod did about as well for the SOX tonight as Cole did for the Yankems on Tuesday.

    After his stupid injury, I wonder if JD will continue to step on 2nd base when he goes to the OF. If he needs a superstitious maneuver, just jump over the foul lines. Or, better yet, don't let him play in the OF.

    True, but in the case of the SOX a guy with a higher OBP would be preferable.

    IMHO, the Rays aren't going to win the WS. So, similar to Oakland, their relatively small PR will fail them again.

    Trading Bogey would probably get the SOX one good starter. Got to give up something good to get something good. Trading some SOX top prospects may get the SOX another good pitcher. And they could probably grab another thru FA.

    That's what it seems the Rays do every year, mainly from their farm. If the SOX had to wait for their farm for pitching, well you get what I mean.

    I can't help but wonder how many good starting pitchers the Rays' farm has developed since Boston's last one, Clay Buchholz?

    I believe the SOX FO would rather re-sign Schwarber and try to trade JD.

    That is why I had just posted "unfortunately, this will probably be Schwarber's last season with the SOX." JD will go somewhere if the SOX can trade him w/o having to eat too much of his 20 million.

    We all have our opinions. My opinion is that I'd rather have Schwarber next year than JD.

    I get it. The Rays have won 3 divisional titles with their small payroll. Have they won a WS? Nope. So what's the point? If a team doesn't win the WS, the season is pretty much a failure.
